The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Fire Safety in the Fuel and Energy Complex" - such a large-scale and significant event of the industry took place last May 27 and 28 in Orenburg, at the test training ground of the Orenburg branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia.
The conference brought together more than 40 enterprises of the fuel and energy complex (Gazprom, Gazpromneft, KTK, Transneft, etc.), more than 50 manufacturers of fire-fighting equipment, 150 experts, 20 educational institutions and leading scientific organizations. In addition to a rich business program and an exhibition of fire and rescue equipment, the conference events also included large-scale demonstrations of fire safety technologies for fuel and energy complex facilities from manufacturers.
The FR Engineering Centre took an active part in the conference, both in the business program and in its practical part.
On the first day, they demonstrated the operation of a portable fire monitor with a flow rate of 70-100 l/s: as part of a large practical test to assess the effectiveness of an integrated approach to extinguishing tanks with a volume of 5000 m3, together with a mobile foam module manufactured by Pozhneftehim, they extinguished a model of the RVS-5000 tank (which is 40 tons of AI-95). Extinguishing was achieved in 5 minutes and 20 seconds from the start of the supply of extinguishing agent.
On the second day, they took part in the round table "Prospects for the development of tactics and technologies for extinguishing fires at fuel and energy complex facilities" - General Director S.G. Nemchinov made a report "Building an integrated fire protection system using robotic fire suppression systems."
Also on this day, large-scale tests of the FR robotic fire suppression system for detecting and extinguishing technological facilities were conducted, which RFSS FR successfully coped with!
Our colleagues from the company "SKBT PR" presented a prototype of a mobile robot with our fire monitor. The robot completed its task of cooling technological equipment.
Based on the results of the work, General Director S.G. Nemchinov presented the equipment of our production to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Kurynin Roman Viktorovich. The equipment aroused interest among the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and issues of continuing the work were discussed.
As the organizers of the event noted, the conference emphasized the need for constant interaction between scientific organizations, industry and government agencies to develop effective measures to prevent and eliminate emergency situations at fuel and energy facilities. It showcased modern advances in fire extinguishing and fire protection, facilitating the exchange of experiences and innovations among participants.
