CB-Ex EDD.2 control box for fire monitors in explosion-proof modification is designed for controlling a fire monitor with DC electric drives and a lock-up device (butterfly valve) with a DC electric drive.
Scope of application includes explosion hazardous areas of classes 1 and 2 as per GOST 31610.10-2012 (IEC 60079-10:2002) in the premises and outdoor installations in accordance with Ex-marking as per GOST IEC 60079-14-2011 for areas with explosive mixture of categories IIB and IIA, as well as explosive areas of classes 21 and 22 as per GOST IEC 60079-10-2-2011 in places of coal, or coke storage in accordance with Ex-marking as per GOST IEC 60079-14-2013 for areas with explosive mixture categories IIIA, IIIB and IIIC.
Control boxes are classified as stationary explosion-proof equipment with the explosion protection of “flameproof enclosure” type according to the requirements of GOST IEC 60079-14-2011 and GOST 31610.0-2014 (IEC 60079-0-2011) with the explosion protection marking 1Ex d IIB T5 Gb X/Ex tb IIIC T90°C Db Х according to GOST IEC 60079-14-2011.
